News from the Principal
Dear Parents, Guardians and Carers,
As we begin to experience some cooler weather heading into Winter, a reminder that all children should bring a school jacket or school jumper to school. I have attached an outline of the uniform requirements for Winter for you to refer to. Of late we have noticed some children wearing incorrect sport shorts and sports shoes. We acknowledge that it can be difficult to source the correct uniform, however we ask for your support in endorsing the correct school basketball mesh shorts and sneakers that are supportive and suitable for school. Due to a number of injuries for students, we do not endorse Converse High Tops as appropriate footwear for school and ask that these shoes remain for special occasions such as casual clothes days.
Each year as a school we complete the Insight SRC survey to measure our progress as a school and set goals for improvement. Staff, students in grades 3 - 6 and parents have the opportunity to participate in this process. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of parents' perceptions of their children’s experience of school. Fifty families are randomly selected to participate in this survey. If you are one of the lucky families you will receive an email this week with the log in details. Although we strongly encourage you to participate, your participation is of course voluntary.
Yr 6 Camp:
This week our Year 6’s have headed off to school camp at The Summit in Trafalgar. We have heard they are having a great time. I’d like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the support and dedication that our staff have put into ensuring the children have a wonderful time. We particularly thank those teachers and ESO’s who are spending time away from their own young families. We anticipate that the campers will be back at school at approximately 1:15pm. We will send a push notice via the school app to update the arrival time.
Mother’s Day Staff - Parents and Friends Thankyou
A huge thankyou to our Parents and Friends group for the amazing work they are doing preparing for our Mother’s Day stall this Friday. This is a newly formed group and we welcome any other parents who are considering joining the group to reach out as many hands make light work.
A reminder to please log into CDF pay to arrange payment for your child to participate in the Mother’s Day Stall. CDF pay will close Thursday 10pm - after this time, no further payments can be accepted. It would also help for the students to bring a shopping bag to keep their gifts in, once they have been purchased.
Finally, I’d like to wish all the Mum’s, Grandmother’s, Nan’s, Aunts and special people in our lives, a lovely Mother’s Day. May you all enjoy spending time with loved ones on Sunday.
Kind regards,
Jodie
