News from the Principal

Dear Parents, Guardian and Carers,

Walking around the school this week there is a real buzz in the air with excitement as children enjoy their last few weeks of school for this year. Please keep checking the school calendar over the final weeks of the term as levels will be having fun days at different times over the last few weeks.

Our end of year Mass is this Friday at 9:30am and all are welcome to join us. We will be saying farewell to long serving staff; Sue Hill, Deb Gilmour and Catherine Taylor who are moving on to retirement and we wish them all the best. This will be followed by a morning tea in the hall. The Assembly on Friday will be a special one as we farewell those staff leaving the school starting at 11:30am in the school hall.

Our grade 6 students are currently preparing for their transition to secondary school next year. This time of the year can bring on big emotions as they get ready to move on from primary school, as the excitement of the move to a new school is tinged with the sadness of saying goodbye. Their graduation will be on Friday 13th December. Please join us at 3:15pm for the hat toss which will take place in the basketball shelter. It is always a lovely way for the school community to gather and farewell these students.

Change to Stationery orders in 2025

As a school we have made the decision to not send booklists home this year largely due to the closure of our regular supplier, Seymour Street newsagency. The teachers will be doing bulk orders of all supplies required by the children in their classrooms for 2025, therefore parents are not required to purchase stationery for their children next year. These will be ready for the children when school commences.

Kind regards,

Jodie
