Congratulations to our Year 5/6 students who participated in last week’s Division Winter Round Robin. 

All students represented St Michael’s beautifully by showing fairness, great sportsmanship and being respectful to others. Our netball team finished first and will progress through to the next level, the Regional Competition, and our footballers finished second on the day. Once again, thank you to all parents, teachers and Lavalla students who assisted with umpiring, coaching and scoring on the day. 

We look forward to seeing you at our Grandparents and Special Visitors Day on Thursday afternoon at 2pm. All students will be placed in groups according to surnames and family groups, therefore they most likely will not be in their normal classroom with their normal teacher. There will be a total of 21 groups located across the school. 

Your child will come home with their group number in the days beforehand, which should be shared with their Grandparent or special person. This will make finding your child a lot easier. Signage will be placed around the school and school staff will be scattered around the grounds to assist. 

The Front gate and Church gate will be opened at 1:50pm. Unfortunately we cannot open the gates earlier as this will be the children’s lunch time.

Premier’s Reading Challenge 

As our amazing librarian retired last year, we have not participated in this year’s Premier’s Reading Challenge. For those students who wish to participate, they can sign up by heading the Victorian Premier’s Reading Challenge website and selecting the Home Based Readers tab. 

Important Dates: 

• Thursday 26th June - Grandparents afternoon 2pm 
• Thursday 3rd July - Italian Week Dress up Parade 9am 
• Friday 4th July - End of term - School finishes at 1pm. No afternoon buses
