News from the Principal
Dear Parents, Carers and Guardians,
We made it to the end of term! Congratulations to all students on a wonderful Semester of learning at St Michael’s. I thoroughly enjoyed reading all about student success and achievements in learning in their school reports these past couple of weeks. It is always lovely to hear how students set learning goals and how they go about achieving them at school.
Parent Teacher interviews form an integral part of the school - parent partnership. This week’s PT interviews will be an opportunity for you to speak to your child’s teacher about their academic and social progress at school. Children are not required to attend the parent teacher interviews this week.
It is always helpful to come with one or two questions in mind; some examples may include:
- How can I support my child’s learning at home?
- What are some ways in which I can help my child develop socially at school?
- What are some key areas that we could focus on at home to build my child’s confidence?
A reminder that your child’s report was released to you on PAM last Friday. If you have not already done so, please jump onto PAM and read the report. This will also be a great starting place to begin a conversation at Parent Teacher interviews.
Last Thursday, we celebrated Grandparents and Special Visitors day. Thank you to everyone who came to spend time with us over the afternoon. We are so blessed to have such special people in our lives and the smile on the children’s faces showed us how proud they were to have you visit St Michael’s!
School finishes at 1pm this Friday.
Wishing you all a wonderful Term break. I hope you all get to spend time with family and loved ones. Enjoy a little sunshine and have fun. See you all back at school on Monday 21st July.
Kind regards
Lia DiCorleto
