Dear Parents, Carers and Guardians, 

Welcome back to Term 3. We hope you all had an opportunity to relax and reset over the school break. 

We are straight back into it with lots happening in the next few weeks. As always, please keep an eye on the school calendar for any important dates. 

Building Project 2025 - 2026 

I am pleased to announce that our Year 3/4 building will be undergoing some renovations in the months to come. We are currently in the Tender process, so there is no set date for the works to commence at this stage, although we aim for it to begin in the term 3 holidays. At the conclusion of the project we will have 6 new 3/4 classrooms, 2 new 5/6 classrooms, a beautiful new library and our 3/4 “quiet play area” will undergo a make over. We will also have a newly refurbished toilet block and sports storage area. 

This renovation will be completed using the existing external building foundations. As with all renovations and refurbishments, there will be disruptions to student learning. I am currently working with a team of architects and infrastructure members from DOSCEL to establish a plan whereby the refurbishment will be broken up into stages so that only a minimal amount of classrooms will be required to move to other locations in the school for each stage. 

This project is super exciting and I am proud to see this through in my first year as Principal. There will be short term pain for long term gain and I am thrilled that we are providing our students with modernised learning facilities. I will continue to update you all when I have any further information to share.
