News from the Principal
Dear Parents, Guardians and Carers,
It was a pleasure to support our School Captains, Aine, Millie and Ruby on Sunday as they represented the school at the Anzac Day Ceremony. They did a fabulous job with the march and laying of the wreath. We are very proud of them.
Uniform
Just a reminder that students should now be wearing their winter uniforms to school.
Boys: Grey Trousers, Red Polo Shirt with logo (long sleeve), Blue Jumper with logo, Grey Socks, Black School Shoes.
Girls: Grey Tunic, Grey Trousers, Red Polo Shirt with logo (long sleeve), Blue Jumper with logo, Grey socks or tights, Black School Shoes.
The School Advisory Committee have been working with Lowes to replace the woollen school jumper with a poly cotton blend after feedback regarding the ‘scratchiness’ of the current jumper. The design and look of the jumper is the same as the current one, it just feels softer on the skin. The sample has been approved and manufacturing of this replacement item has begun. We will update you when it is in stock.
We have also been advised that unfortunately Lowes has experienced a flood event in their warehouse and this has resulted in damage or destruction of some current uniform items.
At this stage we are unsure of the specific items affected, or the impact on supply of those items in the coming months. We will keep you informed of any updates we receive from Lowes.
Foundation 2022
Foundation Tours for 2022 enrolments are underway. Again, our school and house captains are doing a marvellous job of showcasing our school to prospective new families. If you know of any families interested in looking at St Michael’s please invite them to our information night on Tuesday May 4th at 7pm in the school hall.
Just a reminder that school photos are being held on Monday the 10th May. Students will be required to wear their winter uniform.
5/6 E and F have settled into their new classrooms this week. We are very pleased with how they turned out – thank you to Kubale Constructions and Build Eng.
Kind regards,
Jodie
