News from the Principal
Dear Parents, Guardians and Carers,
The Department of Health website provides a number of resources with further information about seeking COVID-19 vaccination, including information and a Flyer to support parents, guardians and carers in having conversations with their child(ren).
Parents, guardians and carers can book a vaccine appointment for their child(ren) at their local GP or pharmacy, or get their child(ren) vaccinated at their nearest state-run vaccination centre by booking online or calling the Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 675 398 between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm, seven days a week.
Many vaccination centres now also offer walk-ins for anybody aged 5 and older. Children aged five (5) to 11 years old must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or carer who can provide consent for the vaccination.
Kids helpline
As we move into 2022 and towards a more normal way of living our lives, some of the challenges of the past two years are still being felt. As a school we have been talking to https://kidshelpline.com.au/ as a way of accessing evidence-informed classroom activities that are educational and interactive in a fun, engaging environment to support children.
Kids Helpline is also a free (even from a mobile), confidential 24/7 online and phone counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25. Qualified counsellors at Kids Helpline are available via WebChat, phone or email anytime and for any reason. They offer practical support for parents, children (5 - 12), teens (13 - 17) and young adults (18 - 25).
